Never Fading After Retirement! Yuexi Entrepreneur Wu Keqing Supports Mountain Students' Dreams with Love
Driven by deep care for children, on May 29, Wu Keqing, Chairman of Anhui Juntai Plastic Industry Technology Co., Ltd., joined the Liuzhou Detachment of the Armed Police Guangxi Corps to visit the Hongyao Girls' Class at Baiyun Township Central Primary School in Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, Liuzhou. Nestled in the depths of the Damiao Mountains, the activity aimed to offer academic support and celebrate Children's Day with the students. Juntai Plastic Industry, a regulated enterprise in Yuexi Development Zone, has been awarded the "Veterans Employment Demonstration Base" by the Yuexi County Party Committee and Government.
A native of Yuexi, Wu Keqing served in the Armed Police Liuzhou Detachment in 2004, during which he learned about the "Armed Police Hongyao Girls' Class." After retiring from the detachment in 2009, he ventured into entrepreneurship. Upholding the philosophy of "Loyalty, Responsibility, and Industrial Service to the Country," he has never forgotten his second hometown. He has revisited the "Armed Police Hongyao Girls' Class" multiple times, launching donation and education support activities to contribute to the development of this region.
Baiyun Township in Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a major multi-ethnic township where the Yao population accounts for 25% of the total. The local Hongyao people once held the custom of "dogs do not plow, girls do not study." In 1988, Baiyun Township established the first "Spring Bud Hongyao Girls' Class," fundamentally changing the history of Hongyao girls being denied education. In 1989, the "Spring Bud Program" initiated by the China Children and Teenagers' Fund was officially launched. As the "Spring Bud Hongyao Girls' Class" had long received care and support from the (officers and soldiers) of the Armed Police Liuzhou Detachment, it was renamed the "Armed Police Hongyao Girls' Class" in 1999.
During the event, Juntai Plastic Industry distributed study and daily necessities worth 13,000 yuan to the students. This marked Wu Keqing's fourth visit to the "Armed Police Hongyao Girls' Class," with cumulative donations of books, stationery, clothing, and funds exceeding 100,000 yuan. "A mission-driven enterprise should not only contribute to social wealth accumulation but also shoulder more social responsibilities," he stated.
"Every time I see their shy yet bright smiles and the sparkles in their eyes when they receive books, I seem to revisit the original aspiration of guarding this land," said Wu Keqing. "Although I have taken off my uniform, my mission remains! May these humble efforts transform into ladders of knowledge to help them chase their dreams bravely." Since its establishment, Anhui Juntai Plastic Industry has been dedicated to social welfare, actively responding to the call of the Party and government. It has participated in "targeted poverty alleviation" and "education donation" work, carrying out activities such as paired assistance, condolences, and academic support, winning high praise from all sectors of society.
