What types of MBBR media do you offer?
MBBR technology for wastewater treatment utilizes polyethylene biofilm carriers in various shapes and sizes to optimize microorganism growth for pollutant degradation. The choice of media depends on wastewater characteristics, treatment goals, reactor design, and budget. Some of the types we offer include:
Cylindrical with fins
K1 media
IFAS (Integrated Fixed-film Activated Sludge)
Bio-blocks
Floating or sinking media
For example:
MBBR64: A flat cylindrical shape.
Bio Block70: A long cylindrical shape.
In MBBR systems, it is essential to ensure that the carriers are free to move around the reactor, which requires sufficient agitation or water flow. Bio blocks may require less power input as they do not need to move but need regular cleaning to maintain their surface area and efficiency.
